Most hotels, restaurants, travel agencies and the bigger shops will take credit cards.
Visa is the most widely accepted. MasterCard is less common.
Most of the bigger banks will advance local currency against a credit card. Most banks have ATM's which accept credit cards for cash.

Zambian Kwacha (ZMK)
- There are a variety of Bureau de Change operators in Livingsone
Further to the new regulations by the Zambian government, the local Zambian Kwacha (ZMK) is now the sole currency of payment for all local transactions. At the moment visa fees are still payable is US$ but everything else in ZMK.
United States Dollar (USD). South African Rand and Botswana Pula also commonly accepted.
- Foregin currency can be changed at banks in Victoria Falls.
