Scientific name: Bdeogale crassicauda

Size: 40–50cm long, weighs 0.9–1.6kg

Lifespan: unknown

Diet: feeds on small birds and eggs, as well as insects such as ants and termites; they will also prey upon rodents and crabs.

Range: found in central Africa, from southern Kenya to central Mozambique.

Protection Status: no immediate danger of extinction
