Heads of State and Ministers hosted by Cresta Mowana Resort and Spa

Posted on 11 May 2015

Heads of States & Ministers from no less than 41 nations and captains of industry in conservation from 10 organisations were hosted at Cresta Mowana Safari Resort & Spa for a high level meeting of the African Elephant Summit (AES).  This was preceded by a conference on Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT 2015).
As one of the world leaders in biodiversity and conservation, Botswana was a natural choice of host in Kasane, Chobe where the largest population of elephants can be found.  Cresta Mowana was the privileged host of these historic high level meetings of over 250 delegates.

The hosting of these high level meetings coincided with the upgrading of gardens & grounds, extension of suites in the property and walkways & decking.  Bedroom locking systems and safes were also upgraded.  The main road leading in to the property was also recently repaved and the jetty re-modelled all to the tune of P900,000.00
